The RISE Center and the RISE Center Technology Park are being developed on 13 acres
of land fronting South Brambleton Avenue across from NSUs main campus in Norfolk,
Virginia.
Developed as a multi-phase project, phases 1 & 2 will contain approximately 400,000
gross square feet, designed and constructed in a campus environment.
The building shell and core construction has been specifically designed for High
Speed Optical Telecommunications, Web Hosting, and mission critical disaster recovery
accommodations. With multiple fiber-optic cable entrances, high floor-to-ceiling
clearance, heavy floor loading, redundant and diverse utility services, this
facility has been designed by a team of experienced telecommunications professionals
that know how important the uninterruptible, survival of a telecommunication facilitys
infrastructure is to the critical storage and transport of data in this Information Age.
In association with partners in industry, government, and other countries, Norfolk State
University and the RISE Center will be working to develop the innovative technology of
tomorrows Internet.
